In May 2012, Weyerbacher began brewing and distributing Last Chance IPA. Since then, we’ve donated over $216,000 to animal organizations throughout our distribution area!

What contributes to the donation?
Proceeds from the sale of Last Chance IPA and Last Chance branded merchandise, as well as all tips received in The Tap Room (our visitors have been very generous!).

How many organizations are selected each month?
Each month, we select 2 organizations.

How are the organizations selected?
Each month, we select a state within our distribution area and then research several organizations within that state. We review the programs they offer to their community, as well as how active they are within their community and what they’re doing to help homeless animals in their community. The second organization is chosen by a Weyerbacher employee and is typically located within our tri-state area.

What are the requirements?
Weyerbacher is currently distributed in 20 markets throughout the US (Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia and Wisconsin). In order to be eligible, the organization must be located within 1 of those markets. The organization must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose primary objective is to shelter and care for homeless domestic animals until permanent homes can be found.
